Spain

Jo Sinnott arrives in the Catalan county of Ribera D’Ebre, site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Spanish Civil War.

She visits the town of Riba Roja, takes a boat to the flooded village of Fayón and pitches her tent on the banks of the River Ebro.

With her motorbike all packed up, Jo then heads inland to the historic capital of Spain, Toledo, where she picks up provisions for a night of wild camping beneath the imposing Moorish castle in Almonacid de Toledo.

Puebla de Montalban is her next stop and Jo finds herself in the midst of the town’s most celebrated festival – the yearly bull run. Keeping the right side of the rails, she talks to locals about the history and significance of the event.

Back on her bike, Jo heads south 300 miles to Spain’s fourth largest city, Seville, where she indulges in her love of Flamenco and is faced with challenge of finding an urban wild camping spot.

On the final leg of her Spanish journey, Jo continues south to Cadiz to meet family friends Maria and Freddie in the beach resort of El Palmar where she gets a birdseye view of the coast in a gyrocopter and finally gets to pitch her tent on the beach.
