If you are planning on visiting Naples, here are some other places to go and things to see and do
POSITANO
Almost 60 years later and the words of John Steinbeck about this picturesque town still ring true - “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.” Full of stylish shops, chic hotels and fine restaurants, Positano has been attracting the rich and famous for decades.

VIETRI SUL MARE
Don’t miss this last town along the Amalfi coast (or first, depending on whether you start your journey at Sorrento or Salerno). Known internationally for its unique ceramics found throughout the Amalfi area, Vietri sul Mare or Vietri on the Sea is rich in pottery shops but also features an impressive cathedral with an 18th century façade and a 12th century pulpit covered with mosaics.

AMALFI
Once a maritime rival to Venice, this wedding-cake town is characterized by dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery. The unofficial town centre, Piazza Duomo, pulsates with people during the day, but quietens down in the evening when it becomes the perfect spot to sit back with some limoncello and enjoy the dolce vita.

CATHEDRAL OF SANT’ANDREA
Built in the early 1200s, this impressive cathedral looms over the small Piazza Duomo, from the top of a daunting staircase. A fascinating piece of architecture, the cathedral features an Arab-influenced exterior, late Baroque style interior and the relics of St. Andrew the Apostle in its crypt.

CAR RENTAL
There is no better way to enjoy the Amalfi coast than driving along its winding roads, seeing each town from afar as they cascade down steep mountainsides and meet the clear blue sea. Naples airport offers car rental services from numerous providers.
