Tough Rides: India
Cars and Bikes
When motorcycling brothers Colin and Ryan Pyle completed their record-breaking circumnavigation of China in 2010, they thought it would be their last great adventure together. But soon after they were back on the road again, this time on a gruelling journey around India. In fifty-four days they attempt to travel 14,000 km, riding on some of the most dangerous roads in the world; traversing deserts and mountains during torrential rainstorms and in almost unbearable heat. Visiting some remarkable places, including the magnificent Golden Temple at Amritsar, the perplexing Karni Mata Temple at Deshnoke and the site of Buddha's enlightenment at Bodh Gaya, offers some relief from the constant dangers of the road. Driven on and inspired by the amazing people they meet along the way they also learn that almost nothing in India is what you expect it to be. In Tough Rides India, Colin and Ryan push themselves to new limits on a voyage of discovery that most people can only dream of making.
