1  Mekong

Christophe Cousin travels through two countries: Vietnam and Cambodia, on a river trip up the Mekong to meet the people who live by it. After a miraculous haul of 'rice-fish' in the South China Sea, Christophe meets some prawn fishermen, or 'aquatic tramps' as they are known locally, before boarding a taxi-boat and going to the floating market of Can Thô. After accompanying a family on its way to sell pineapples on the 'nine-dragon river', Christophe leaves the bustle of Vietnam behind him. In Cambodia, he returns to dry land and gets to know some unusual salesmen who have come from India to sell mosquito nets.

2  Romania

In Romania Christophe Cousin experiences the day-to-day life of the last true nomads of Europe, the most traditional of the European Romani people, The Gastrareas, who travel from May to October. He tries to understand how one can get to the point of finding hope in the road, what makes a stateless nomad a nomad apart, how a minority of them still manage to make their voices heard. It is a tribe with many faces, all of which combine to make a portrait of one of the most fascinating and unloved communities in Europe.
