Intrepid Journeys Series 4
Intrepid Journeys returns to take more famous New Zealanders on the road less travelled; in the process revealing more about the travellers than they probably even knew about themselves at the outset of their journey. Outdoing her famous husband in the adventure stakes, Dr Pamela Stephenson-Connelly takes a dug out canoe down the Sepek River in Papua New Guinea to attend a crocodile festival. Steve Price's glittering rugby career was ended by a serious ankle injury, an injury now severely tested on a 12 day hike at high altitude in the Kingdom of the Mustang in Nepal. Model Rachel Hunter discovers how the locals have recovered from a devastating tsunami in Sumatra, whilst singer Annie Crummer struggles to contain her fear of spiders throughout a trek in the Peruvian rainforest. Comic actor Oscar Kightley admits he was an unlikely candidate for the show as he has never slept in a tent and 'the most intrepid thing I do at home is walk to the shop' but at least he throws himself into a trip to Myanmar with huge enthusiasm. Intrepid Journeys continues to strip away the polished layers of celebrity to reveal the raw, naked human emotion underneath.
