1  Burgundy

In the second programme of this wine series Keith Floyd takes us to the Loire Valley. Keith and Jonathan Pedley taste Vouvray and Pouilly Fume. We discover what is meant by vintage look at how white wine is made and Keith cooks Chicken in a Wine and Cream Sauce

3  Rhone

This is a programme for red wine lovers. We'll be tasting two smooth red wines from the Rhone Valley a Crozes Hermitage and a Cotes du Rhone Village. We look at how red wine production differs from white and explain appellation controllee. Keith Floyd cooks Cod and Snails with Aioli (Mayonnaise) and tries the sixteen wines that come under the Cotes du Rhone Village banner!

4  Bordeaux

Keith Floyd visits the one region in France that is envied around the world for its wine - Bordeaux. This week Keith and Jonathan Pedley master of wine will taste a Medoc and sweet pudding wine Sauternes. We discuss blending take a look at the effects of oak barrels and we look at the value of decanting. Keith cooks Entrecote Steak

5  Alsace

Keith Floyd visits Alsace a region of France that is often associated more with beer than wine. Keith and Jonathan Pedley taste two wines that have put the region on the map Riesling and Gewurztraminer. We discover that the aspect of vineyards affects the taste and cost of wine and Keith launches a hail rocket that wine growers use to burst hail ridden clouds that can severely damage vines. This week's dish is Chouxcroute

6  Provence

This week Keith Floyd visits his favourite region of France Provence. Keith and Jonathan Pedley taste a rose from Coteaux d'Aix en Provence and a red from the Luberon Hills. We discover how rose is made visit a classic French fish market and explore this beautiful area. And Keith even finds time to cook a Bourride (fish stew)

7  Languedoc

Keith Floyd continues his wine-tasting quest around France and today he and Jonathan Pedley taste a Viognier and a Minervois from the French region of Languedoc. We discover that the area has had to change its style of wine production significantly during the past ten years and that they now employ New World techniques. Keith consumer tests corkscrews and we learn how to ensure that whatever your price range you get value for money next time you buy a bottle of wine. Today's regional recipe is a salt cod puree called Brandade.

8  Champagne

Today Keith Floyd takes us to the French region of Champagne. We discover how champagne is made and why it costs so much. We taste and discuss champagne and learn how to understand champagne labels. Keith is horrified to be told by our master of wine Jonathan Pedley that up until a few years ago growers used decomposed household waste as fertilizer. Keith cooks Crayfish with Champagne Sauce and Duck Stewed in Champagne.
