RIDING EASTERN EUROPE
PRESENTER: Henry Cole
Episode 1: Eastern Germany 1
Bike mad globetrotter Henry Cole goes on an epic 2000km motorcycle ride from Germany to Hungary. In this first episode, Henry picks up his MZ motorcycle from the factory and sets off for the infamous Colditz Castle in Eastern Germany, before heading further east to the stunning city of Dresden.
Episode 2: Eastern Germany 2
Henry explores the magnificent city of Dresden, cruises along the banks of the River Elb to the little town of Pirna, and stops off in the ancient town of Gorlitz on the German-Polish border.
Episode 3: Poland
In this episode, Henry crosses the border from Eastern Germany into Poland - first stop a Polish McDonalds! After getting lost in the Polish hinterland, he finally arrives in Wroclaw in time to experience the city’s fantastic nightlife.
Episode 4: Poland – Czech Republic
Bike mad globetrotter Henry Cole goes on an epic 2000km motorcycle ride from Germany to Hungary. Henry’s trip is becoming frustrating, as he loses his way leaving the Polish city of Wroclaw, heading for the Czech capital of Prague. As night falls, Prague finally comes into view, with its unbelievable array of world-famous architecture.
Episode 5: Czech Republic
Henry leaves the city of Prague and heads for a weird and wonderful monastery decorated in human bones in Kutna Hora, before visiting the quaint medieval town of Jilhava and the Lichtenstein Palace in Lednice.
Episode 6:Mexico - Slovakia.
Tired, emotional and cold, Henry arrives in the Slovakian town of Malacky to meet a man at the railway station to take him on a traditional Eastern European jaunt - mushroom picking! As night falls Henry makes it to the capital city of Bratislava and to the best hotel in town!
Episode 7: Hungary
In the final leg of his journey, Henry heads into Hungary, nearly falling off his bike and running out of petrol in the process. After a short stop in the small town of Gyor, he reaches journey’s end - the magical town of Budapest.
