EPISODE 1: Mediterranean Magic
In Japan, Hanami is the name given to the time of the year when the fruit trees come into bloom. Known as sakura, the blooming cherry blossoms symbolise the end of a hard winter and the true start of spring and new life. EPISODE 2: Cheery Blossom Trail
Greg Grainger shows us the history and traditions of Mexico. He's in search of a country that has for centuries remained hidden from much of the world. Far from the tourist resorts and popular destinations is the real Mexico, a place where he finds a healthy passion for life, where traditions are defended with pride and religion is an integral part of people's lives. We listen to the music of the Mariachi bands, are witness to the unabashed spectacle of a bullfight, pay a visit to the ballet, explore the elegant streets of colonial towns and see a country's religious belief in full flow as thousands of devotees carry shrines and replicas of Christ on the Cross. As ever, Greg offers his own unique view of a country where the preservation of past traditions is extremely important to its people.

EPISODE 5: In the Wake Of The Vikings
Beginning on the Eastern and Oriental Express Greg Grainger charts the way through the ancient waters sailed by the great Viking explorers, Erik the Red and Leif Eriksson, in Greenland and Iceland a thousand years ago. He meets descendents of the Vikings and visits colourfully decorated Innuit villages. The land of the midnight sun offers a diversity of wildlife including head-butting musk ox, caribou and whales
