Episode 1: August

The monthly guide to festivals, cultural events and miscellaneous events around the world focuses on the Clanloddoch Highland games in Scotland, Elvis Week in Memphis, USA, a trek to Mount Rainier in the American Rockies and the crazy tomato hurling festival known as La Tomatina in Northern Spain.

Episode 2; September

This month we visit the Burning Man in Nevada, attend the Goroka show in Papua New Guinea and go shopping in London's famous Portobello market

Episode 3: October

This month we visit Oktoberfest in Germany, take a trip along the Croatian coast and go back in time to the Battle of Hastings in England

Episode 4: November

The monthly guide to festivals, cultural events and miscellaneous events around the world travels to the beaches of Goa in West India and visits the Pushkar Travel Fair. Also on the itinerary is a trip to Ottery St Mary in England, a visit to the Lopburi Monkey Festival in Thailand and a trek in Nepal

Episode 5: December

This month we visit some of the beautiful beaches of Phuket, Malaysia and Southern Thailand. We climb Mount Kenya, party at a festival in Guadaloupe, visit the silver markets of Mexico, and see what Klausjagen in Switzerland has to offer

Episode 6: January

This month we visit the Timkat festival and the Feast of Epiphany in Ethiopia, go diving in the Turks and Caicos Islands, check out hip Byron Bay in Australia, go on safari in Africa and check out Ati- Atihan in the Phillippines

Episode 7: February

The monthly guide to festivals, cultural events and miscellaneous events around the world visits the New Year Tet Festival in Vietnam, parties at Carnival in Venice, Italy, shops at the flea markets of Vienna and Los Angeles, and goes diving in Borneo

Episode 8: March

Across the Northern hemisphere, March signals the end of winter for many countries, the Globe Guides team drop in on festivities marketing this occasion in Canada, Lapland and Russia. They then dash across to warmer climates in Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain and Micronesia

Episode 9: April

This month, we discover how Easter is celebrated in Brazil, Guatemala, Spain, Israel and the Philippines. We go diving in Micronesia and trekking across the virtually untouched landscape of Molokai in Hawaii. And Christina Chang witnesses a celebration of the twelfth battle between the Christians and the Moors in the town of Alcoy, Spain

This is a guide to festivals, cultural events and miscellaneous events around the world. Today we look at the Anastenaria Firewalking Festival In Greece, and visit the Cannes Film Festival both of which take place every May; we canoe the Rio Grande, take a look at the famous Florida manatees and visit Pompeii in Southern Italy

Episode 11: June

This programme looks at the Greek Miaoulia Festival, and the Heiva Festival that takes place in Tahiti. We take a trek in the Dolomites and visit Inti Raymi in Peru

Today we go to Pamplona for the running of the bulls festival, take a hike in Arctic Alaska, find out what goes on at the Edirne Wrestling Festival in Turkey, go diving in the Maldives and find out who goes to the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California - and why!
