Episode 1: Calistoga

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Calistoga is one of Napa Valley's northernmost locations, famed for its picturesque hillside wineries and natural hot springs. Simon visits two local wineries, checks out some hotels and restaurants, visits the famous Old Faithful geyser and goes hot air ballooning.

Episode 2: Calaveras Country

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Calaveras County in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, was made famous by Mark Twain in his novel 'The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County'. Simon visits a real mix of the county's best-known little towns and their accommodations, restaurants and attractions.

Episode 3: Tahoe

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. When Mark Twain first saw Lake Tahoe, he described it as "surely the fairest picture the whole earth affords". Simon shows us the beauty of the Lake and the wealth of accommodations, restaurants and activities s available all round its 72-mile shore.

Episode 4: Paso Rhobles

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. As far back as 1795, the spa resort of Paso Robles was widely known as the place to go for springs and mud baths. Simon tours this historic area, famed for its many wineries, including EOS, Treana and J Lohr.

Episode5: Napa

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. First inhabited by the Native American Wappo Indians, the Napa Valley is now one of the world's premier wine growing regions. Simon tours the valley, visiting wineries, downtown Napa and the COPIA, the American Centre for Wine, Food and The Arts.

Episode 6: Amador County

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Amador County is in the very heart of the Gold Country, where the 49ers flocked to find their fortunes 150 years ago. Simon talks to folklorist Robert Richards about the area's history, visits the Montevina winery and checks out the local accommodation and attractions.

Episode 7: Santa Barbara

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. On Pacific Highway 101, about 90 miles North of LA, lies Santa Barbara, famous for its breathtaking scenery and great beaches. Simon tours the wineries of the 'American Riviera', location of the movie 'Sideways', as well as exploring local accommodation, restaurants, shops and attractions.

Episode 8: Tulare County

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Tulare County is home to some of America's prettiest little towns, and for its incredible giant Sequoia trees. Simon Kane tours the area, visiting restaurants, a country club and the Sierra Forge and Fire arts centre, as well as sampling the cheese at the Three Sisters Farmstead.

Episode 9: Monterey

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Monterey County, the 'Jewel of California's Central Coast', has been dubbed the greatest meeting of land, sea and sky on the planet. Simon tours the region taking in the dramatic Big Sur, romantic Carmel, Pacific Grove, 17 mile Drive, Pebble Beach and Monterey's very own wine country.

Episode 10: El Dorado County

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. One of the California's original 27 counties, El Dorado is the undisputed home of the Gold Rush, and possibly home of the American vineyard too, with vines originally planted in 1849. Simon Kane visits a number of historic sites in the county, several wineries and the town of Placerville.

Episode 11: Sonoma County

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Sonoma County is a year round holiday playground and one of the world's top wine growing regions. Simon visits three of its outstanding wineries and Bodega Bay, location of Hitchcock's 'The Birds', as well as checking out the local accommodation and restaurants.

Episode 12: Marin Country

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Midway between the wine country valleys of Napa and Sonoma, and San Francisco Bay, is Marin County. Simon visits all six of its communities, often referred to as San Francisco's playground, touring leisure attractions, nature parks and historical sights.

Episode 13: Temecula

Simon Kane tours the wine regions of the USA's West Coast. Temecula is Southern California's wine country, with snow capped mountains to the east and the Pacific coast to the west. Simon chats to viticulturalist Ben Drake about the success of Temecula as a wine growing region, visit three wineries and checks out the region's other attractions.
