CHARLIE OTTLEY
Charlie Ottley is the face of the popular Travel Channel destination series Flavours Of..., now in its fourth season. He has travelled extensively, writing and presenting in the UK, Spain, Peru, Chile and Mexico. He is also a travel journalist and jobbing poet for TV and radio and writes odes for The Today programme, Saturday Live and the Daily Politics.
Charlie, 38, was City Bard for Carlton Television’s Bulls & Bears and has penned lyrical segments for GMTV, Meridian, Tiscali, The Daily Mail, the Sun and many others. His work has earned him praise from a host of fellow pundits, particularly his last book, “Cautionary Verses and Ruthless Rhymes for Modern Times” which cemented his reputation as “the new Hilaire Belloc” (Country Life). The Independent On Sunday described it as, “an excellent and witty updating of Belloc, of which I suspect the old boy would have been proud." When he’s not globetrotting Charlie lives in a small cottage in the Hampshire countryside and looks after his chickens.
