Located one and a half hour from Prague, this is a popular daytrip excursion. Theresienstadt was used and promoted by the Nazis as a ‘model‘ concentration camp where people seemingly led a normal life. The memorial comprises original fortresses , a crematorium as well as exhibitions of some of the artwork produced at the time which portrays true life in the camp.
