More than 50 vessels, tall ships and representatives of countries and marines from around the world, are gathering this summer for the most ambitious OpSail ever.
From April through July this flotilla will visit eight American port cities to celebrate international respect and understanding amongst the maritime community.
It’s only the 5th time these ships will have gathered and this year they’re commemorating the War of 1812 under the heading OUR FLAG WAS STILL THERE marking the writing of the American National Anthem by Francis Scott Key.
Between June 7th and 12th the ships will be in Norfolk, Virginia and from June 13th to 19th they’re in the birthplace of The Star Spangled Banner, Baltimore, Maryland…
