Cycling
Bristol is at the heart of the National Cycling Network. Visitors are able to hire a bike in the city, or bring their own and park at Mud Dock, a unique venue combining a cafe and bike shop with showers and bike lockers. With miles of cycling routes linked to the city, there are plenty of cycling options available, from a short ride around the harbour to a day out along the Bristol-Bath cyclepath. Alternatively, Carefree Cycling Tours offers days out, exploring South West England by bike.

Parks and Gardens
Bristol has over 450 parks and open spaces, proportionately more than any other UK city. The Downs is a huge area of protected parkland on the edge of the City, giving the impression of the countryside.
Alternatively, there are great views over the city and harbour from Brandon Hill Park, the oldest park in Bristol. Located just off Park Street, there's a children's play area, beautiful paths and a nature conservation area.
Queen Square is a Georgian square restored as part of a Heritage Lottery funded project. Its central location is popular with successful businesses and it is adjacent to commercial districts, the Old City and the redeveloped Harbourside. The square regularly hosts outdoor theatre, concerts and other major events.
