
Chris Robinson

Chris first became involved in the ski industry 20 years ago as a freestyle competitor on the professional freestyle circuit. As coach for the National Junior & Ontario Freestyle Ski Teams, Chris trained some of Canada's most successful freestyle skiers.
Chris Robinson began his career in 1975 as an amateur freestyle ski competitor. He quickly moved to the pro ranks where he competed successfully for four years. In 1979 he was hired to coach the Canadian Junior Freestyle Team. Soon after, he began organizing ski competitions across Canada. In 1985 he joined the Ski Base television program as a contributor, and in 1993 acquired the independent production rights to the show, which became the Pontiac World of Skiing.
His production company, Double Black Diamond Productions, has also produced coverage for many other Snowsports events including host coverage of snowboarding at the Torino games.
Chris has devoted many years of work and volunteer time to ski organizations including the Canadian Snowsports Association, the Canadian Ski Council and the International Ski Federation.
