Chris Jackson
Presenter of BEYOND BORDERS
After squeaking by at the University of Guelph and obtaining a degree in Sociology, Chris lost thirty pounds and decided to pursue a career in broadcasting. He graduated from Centennial College with a diploma in Radio and Television Arts and won an award for Best Short Film at Telefest. He bleached his hair, grew a goatee and spent three years as a Special Events Reporter. The travel bug hit hard and road trips to Eastern and Western Canada convinced him to see more of the world.
He spent nine weeks backpacking through South America before landing the job as one of the hosts for Beyond Borders. Chris has an interest in Latin American history and really really wants to learn how to surf.
Join Chris for the first season of Beyond Borders as he attempts surfing in Costa Rica, eats live grubs in Malaysia, plays elephant polo in India and goes white-water rafting in Argentina.
