Look out world, they're back!

Julian and Camilla set out on the final leg of their World Odyssey. First they hit Athens to see how their odyssey measures up to Homer's. Having studied Ancient Greece as a student, Camilla is enthralled to be finally seeing her textbooks come to life. Julian, not having studied Ancient Greece, is a little less enthralled which leads to a modern day clash of cultures at the Acropolis.

Fittingly, Julian and Camilla finish their world odyssey in their home country of New Zealand. Competitive to the last, they try to outdo each other even on home soil by claiming their own island to be the best. Camilla goes into battle for the North Island, whilst Julian champions the South Island.

Julian and Camilla's World Odyssey - Series 4

Touring the country in a classic Holden car, they also try to define what constitutes a typical New Zealander along the way. From the glitz and bustle of Auckland in the North Island to the isolation of the West Coast of the South Island, Julian and Camilla hear stories from Maoris, Coasters and Westies alike about life in one of the world's most beautiful locations. Will they finally manage to agree on something at the very end of their odyssey?

Julian & Camilla’s World Odyssey Episode 7: Athens

Julian & Camilla head to Greece to explore its capital, Athens and start the journey in the centre of the city, Syntagma Square where they watch the impressive changing of the guard ceremony. After visiting the museum of sculpture and seeing the drawings on the ancient pottery, Camilla takes Julian to a life drawing class where the competition is on as to who is the better drawer. Next Julian and Camilla meet Tom, a slightly insane Irishman who has been living in Athens for a long time and enjoy a few hours in his madhouse and find out why he chooses to live here. Taking a day trip, Julian and Camilla head to the Corinth Canal and stop in for a bite at a bakery in a local village where they are shown the full extent of Greek hospitality by the charming owner. Back in Athens, its time for Camilla’s highlight of this trip - The Acropolis! Finding it as amazing as she had anticipated, the only thing marring the experience is of course, Julian. The next day Julian decides they are going to do something he is passionate about and books them both on a photography tour with one of the best Greek photographers.
Feeling inspired by the beauty of this country, Julian and Camilla sail away from the city for a night to visit two of the nearby Greek Islands, Spetses and Hydra where they learn about Greek heroine Boubalina and experience the slower pace of the islands. Back in Athens for a day before they leave they visit a famous greek tavern where the vivacious owner treats them like celebrities.
Afterwards Julian and Camilla head up to the highest point in Athens to watching the sun set as they reflect on their time in this very special city.

Julian & Camilla’s New Zealand Odyssey: North vs South

After visiting 25 countries Julian and Camilla decide to explore their own, New Zealand. Made up of a North and South Island, it is no surprise their road-trip becomes a competition of whose island is the better one. Hailing from the North, Camilla takes the drivers seat in their classic 1974 Holden Kingswood station wagon and shows Julian her favourite beach, Matuari Bay and then takes him to experience New Zealand’s birthday, Waitangi day at the place where the founding document of this country was signed. Moving on to New Zealand's biggest city, Auckland they check out the glamours and edgy sides to the city. Next stop, Hamilton where they meet an unusual English army before arriving at the Norths most touristy town, Rotorua where an internationally famous actor shows them the town secrets.

Last stop in the North is capital city Wellington where the charming Georgina Beyer tells Julian and Camilla about her journey from the streets to Parliament.
Boarding the Interisland Ferry, Camilla hands over the wheel to Julian for the South Island and the first stop is Kaikoura where our travelers head out to go whale watching.
Christchurch, Julians hometown is the next stop where he defends his town to Camilla and takes her to the coolest bar in Christchurch, the Wunderbar for a drink.
